Another slogan on a board? Your support makes it real.

In 2023, we anticipate over 14,000 requests from people in prisons and jails across the US. They may have few – if any – other ways of accessing books for education, personal growth, or companionship.

We want to take a moment to thank all of you who continue to make our mission a reality. We couldn’t do any of this without you.

What can your donation do?

$25 pays postage to send two pounds of books each to six people. $100 pays postage for almost an entire day of requests. $500 pays to mail dictionaries (our #1 request!) to 100 people.

We’re a 501(c)3 non-profit. Donate by December 31 if you’re itemizing your deductions for 2022.

On behalf of all the inmates who write to us: Thank you.
