The University of Washington Daily ran a recent article on how Books to Prisoners volunteers view  the program. For example, Luke Bishop, a UW junior, spends two evenings a week working for BTP.

“You open up these letters and read, ‘I’m in solitary confinement 23 hours a day; I like these kinds of books.’ When you get these letters, you can really sense the kind of isolation they feel.”
