Thank you to everyone who bought new books to donate to Books to Prisoners during Banned Books Week, October 5-11. Together, you gave 332 new paperbacks worth a total of $6225.
A generous donor will match the dollar amount of your gifts. We'll use that grant to buy more new paperbacks, to educate and entertain people in prisons around the US.
While the matching grant is only applied for books bought during Banned Books Week, you can still donate new paperbacks on topics our readers care about year-round by shopping from our wish lists. Your gift will bring up-to-date information, in short supply in dusty prison libraries,and allow us to send books to people in prisons that don't accept used books.
