Thanks to WotCon & the Fans of "Wheel of Time"

Thanks to WotCon, producers of the Wheel Of Time Fan Convention, for raising over $2200 in T-shirt sales for Books to Prisoners last month. That's enough postage to send more than 400 packages of books to incarcerated readers.

The Wheel of Time is a series of popular fantasy novels by Brandon Sanderson and the late Robert Jordan. It became a tv series on Amazon Prime in 2021. For the fifth year, WotCon hosted a convention of fans in Columbus OH over the first weekend of July.

After the convention, they contacted us on Instagram to see if we would post an announcement of their post-con merch sale, with profits to be split between Books to Prisoners and efforts to make the convention more accessible next year. Of course, we agreed!

Since 2022, popular WotCon guests Kate Reading and Michael Kramer, voice-over artists who narrate audiobook versions of works by Brandon Sanderson, among others, have held their own fundraisers for us at WotCon (see "Thanks to Kate Reading and Michael Kramer", https://www.bookstoprisoners.net/post/thanks-to-michael-kramer-and-kate-reading). This was the first time WotCon itself has offered to do so.
